This video exposes the reality of life for circus animals, showing the confinement and deprivation endured by animals on the road as well as the violence inflicted on them behind the scenes. The video also pinpoints the dangers of keeping animals in travelling menageries and how the public are put at risk. To find out more about Animal Defenders International's circus campaign in Greece please visit http://www.ad-international.org/anima...

The animals in this video were observed at zoos in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland and Romania as part of The EU Zoo Inquiry 2011, an extensive investigation conducted by the Born Free Foundation, in association with the European coalition ENDCAP, involving 200 zoos in 21 EU countries.

A million or more wild animals languish in Europe's zoos, circuses and dolphinaria or are kept as pets. ENDCAP is a pan-European initiative to seek improve the conditions for these animals to ensure their basic needs are met. More at http://www.bornfree.org.uk

CAPS supporter, Donovan So, created this video for his school project, & he said we could share it with you. Donovan wanted to highlight the plight of animals in captivity. His video focuses on circuses and zoos.
